My friend and I visited for a takeout dinner order. My friend ordered a curry goat bowl and I asked for a fish sandwich. The woman behind the counter was friendly and engaging as she filled the bowl with our picks. It was quite full at the end which caused some spillage.
We paid for the order and went to sit and wait for the sandwich. A few moments later, the woman approached us and said that she had put TOO MUCH MEAT in the bowl and would have to charge us extra. We were both shocked and stunned at this request but decided not to let it spoil our evening so we paid it. Having said that, I felt that my sandwich was being held hostage until I paid.
This is the first and only time I have had anything close to this happen. If we had asked for a more generous serving and she forgot to charge us that would have been acceptable. However, this was not the case. On leaving the premises, we were given a salutation from the Team Lead to which I replied that we would NEVER be back. He did not take me seriously - smile and nod.
Any issues with your staff's service vs management's expectations should never manifest itself in the customer paying the difference. This is a rude and unprofessional practice.

I ordered from Scotty Bons in Brampton through Uber Eats, and this was one of the worst food experiences I’ve had.
My food arrived cold, and the sandwich was completely soggy. The chicken in the sandwich lacked flavor and did not taste fresh. There was an excessive amount of gravy poured over the meal, including the rice, which left it overly soggy and unappetizing.
I also paid extra for plantain, but it was missing from my order. It’s frustrating to pay for an item and not receive it.
The biggest disappointment was the oxtail. The meat was extremely tough and difficult to chew, and the overall taste was not enjoyable. For a meal that cost over $20, the quality was far below what I expected. In my opinion, the food was not worth the price and felt more like a $10 meal.
Overall, I am very disappointed with this order and would not recommend this location based on my experience. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from Scotty Bons in Brampton again.
